Back In Time...

Mirror Image Dance Academy’s journey began in the mid-1990s, when the studio first opened its doors under a different owner. The name Mirror Image was inspired by the connection to another studio of the same name, founded by the original owner’s sister in Wisconsin. What started as a small local studio quickly became a place where dancers of all ages could discover creativity, movement, and community.

In 2001, Deanna Gallardo—who at the time was a teacher at Mirror Image—saw the potential to carry the studio forward and purchased it. With her passion, vision, and commitment to excellence, she transformed Mirror Image into more than just a dance school. Over the past two decades, Deanna has grown the studio into a thriving home for the performing arts, where students not only learn technique but also build confidence, discipline, and lifelong friendships.

Today, Mirror Image Dance Academy proudly celebrates 25 years of inspiring dancers. Generations of families have walked through our doors, creating a legacy where parents who once danced as children now watch their own little ones take the stage. Our history is woven into every class, rehearsal, and performance, reminding us that Mirror Image is more than a studio—it is a family, a tradition, and a reflection of the joy that dance brings to our community.

Congratulations on celebrating 25 years of MIDA! What a remarkable milestone and a true testament to your dedication, talent, and love for your students.

Our family feels so blessed to have been a part of your studio for so many years. My daughter’s journey began with dance/preschool under your care and continued for 16 wonderful years of dance. The knowledge, discipline, and passion she gained through your teaching have shaped her not only as a dancer but also as a confident young woman.

We are deeply grateful for the countless hours, encouragement, and wisdom you have poured into my kids. Your studio has been more than just a place to dance—it has been a second home filled with joy, growth, and lifelong memories. You will always have a special place in our hearts.

This is our 10th year at MIDA and I'm looking forward to MANY more!! Watching my girls grow up in this studio has been such a joy! Miss Dee has taught them many things from simply tying their shoes to being confident and sure of themselves. She has a way of getting each of my girls to do things they never thought they could do. Mr. Dave is the very best cheerleader for my girls and knows what to say to get them each to perform and overcome their fears.

MIDA is our family and our home away from home. I am so thankful that God brought us here years ago.

Mirror Image Dance Academy holds a special place in my life and always will. Growing up here has provided me so many opportunities, allowed me to meet new people, and truly a place where one can grow and be supported by everyone around them. Happy 25 years!
