Classes for Ages 10+
These classes are designed to continue the skills learned in the 6-10 year old division as well as emphasizing the importance of strength, placement, stamina and memorization. Designed for the more seasoned dancer, combinations are longer, more complex and require the use of the entire body. The study of ballet is a must for this age level. New forms of dance are introduced as well, including: modern, contemporary, and lyrical.
The following classes are offered at this age:
Ballet I, II*, III/IV*
Tap I, II*, III* or IV*
Jazz I, II*, III/IV*
Jr. Lyrical/Modern (Beginner*) Must be concurrently enrolled in Ballet II (Ages 11+) or higher
Modern (Advanced*) Must be concurrently enrolled in Ballet III/IV (Ages 11+) or higher
Contemporary (Advanced*) Must be concurrently enrolled in Ballet III/IV and Adv. Modern (Ages 11+) or higher
Beginner Praise Dance (See Below)
Int/Adv Praise Dance* (See Below)
Junior/Apprentice/Senior Stretch Flex**
Junior, Apprentice, or Senior Performing Company***
*Students must have the approval of the instructor to enroll in certain classes in this age level.

Praise is a class that is offered free of cost and is first-come, first-served. This class may not be offered in the Summer due to scheduling constraints. Dance shoes, class and performance costs may still apply. The Annual Registration fee is still applicable. Int/Adv Praise requires that students be concurrently enrolled in Ballet II (Ages 11+) or higher.

Ballet class require a black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, hair and bangs slicked back into a ballerina bun. Legwarmers or warm-up jackets, if needed, may only be worn at the barre. Tight black boy-cut shorts are optional.
**Pointe work is available for students 12 and up who have shown exemplary progress in their ballet classes and is at the instructor’s discretion.**
Performing Company and Flex classes require a black leotard and tan or pink tights with tight black boy-cut shorts or black jazz pants. Hair and bangs slicked back into a ponytail or bun.
Performing Company: Shirts, if worn, must be sleeveless, solid colored and tight fitting.
Flex: Running shoes and yoga mats are required. Warm-ups may be worn.

We ask that dancers do not wear bare legs, bra tops where the stomach is exposed or street clothes are allowed in class. Old costumes with sequins and big skirts are not allowed in class, as they are distracting for dancers.
